If display advertising is enabled
- Advertising will be labelled as advertising, not disguised as editorial content.
- Ad units will not be inserted inside article prose or between the steps of an instruction.
- No advertiser will receive editorial approval over the page its advertisement appears on.
- No advertiser will be given a favourable verification label, score or recommendation.
- Any advertising cookie or tracking will be added to the cookie policy before it goes live.
- Where consent is legally required for advertising cookies, it will be requested before they are set.
Third-party links
Links to external services, including emulator vendors and the Downloader app, appear because they are relevant to an instruction on the page. They are not affiliate links, they generate no commission, and they are chosen by what the step requires rather than by who pays.
How to check this for yourself
Outbound links on this site do not carry affiliate tracking parameters, and advertising blocks would be visually distinct and labelled. If you ever see the opposite on a page that looks like this one, it is not this site.
